About

Alec Randles is an Australian fingerstyle guitarist and singer-songwriter, infusing backgrounds in Celtic, Roots & Blues guitar with contemporary folk music and thought-provoking lyricism. This diverse influence has seen Randles play a plethora of shows across Australia, the United States and New Zealand, spanning venues from sold-out theatres in Canberra to street corners in Kansas City, US
Turning his back on the music industry during the pandemic years, instead spending that time of uncertainty practicing as a solicitor, Randles has since felt a relentless pull back to the realness and authenticity of music - especially roots and folk music - such that he has reshaped his life and has quickly picked up where he left off as an emerging artist. He has since embarked on a successful tour across New Zealand (selling out his debut show in Auckland) and Western Australia, shared stages with the likes of Kim Churchill, Daniel Champagne and ARIA award winning artist Jeff Lang, and released a single 'Peter' which debuted with repeated national airtime on Triple J. Randles has keen eyes to 2025, where he has already booked into Lake City Studios in Canberra to release new original music for the first time since early 2020.

Randles is consistently celebrated as being a refreshing and frank artist, whose deft fingerstyle guitar skills and based social commentary distinguishes him from run-of-the-mill folk/acoustic performances. He is a strong addition to any festival lineup in the realm of folk/roots/blues and singer-songwriter music.
