Alec Randles is an independent fingerstyle guitarist and roots musician from Canberra, Australia. His original music draws a heavy influence from his background in Celtic, Classical, Blues, Tap/percussive, African and Flamenco fingerstyle guitar. Fresh to the Australian folk/roots scene, Alec has spent the past two years building himself to be an impressive performer - having been dubbed a great artist and fingerstyle guitarist by Nkechi Anele of Triple J. Alec has played sold out shows and festivals across Australia and the United States, and has shared the stage with world-renowned names, such as the 3x Golden Guitar Awardee Michael Fix and Alejandro Flores. His recent single release 'These Days' was featured nationally on Triple J.

2019 saw Alec explode onto the Canberra scene as an independent artist. He performed to sold out audiences in some of Canberra's prime venues (the Canberra Theatre, the National Arboretum, the Polish Club, the Phoenix and Smith's Alternative), toured up the east coast of Australia and ended up a finalist of the 2019 Bluesfest BuskingComp as a solo artist competing with 5-8 piece bands. The early months of 2020 has showed no sign of Alec slowing down - he has already nabbed support slots for ARIA award winning artist Jeff Lang and Art vs Science. His 2020 single 'Peace of Mind' sat comfortably for two weeks at #1 on the Triple J Unearthed overall charts. It's safe to say that Alec owes these achievements to the fact that his music resonates with live music enthusiasts AND people who don't often find themselves at a live gig.
